Apocolypse RP Here

smiles drifted into an uncomfortable sleep and when she opened her eyes, the sunlight blinded her. marine was shaking her shoulder gently "come on kid, time to move on, maybe we can find another car." she just nodded and straightened herself out looking around the room, the reaper was still by the door and medic was on the counter next to her. she shrugged toward them. "we cant leave medic here with that nut" said marine knowing what she asked. she shoved medic off the counter to wake him up. "damn smiles, you're grumpy today" marine said getting up and stretching out his back. he set to work taking down the barrier.

"Good Morning" Reaper chuckled as he watched the Marine start taking the door down, he had sat there humming quietly to himself all night and hadn't gotten any sleep.He stood up and smiled at the marine and than went to look for the bathroom.

The sensation of falling woke Medic up before the impact did. Still, there was a rather confusing second as he saw the floor rising up to meet him. He hadn't yet been awake enough, however, to stop his fall and he hit with a loud thump. "Nice wake up call..." He grumbled as he got to his feet. AS he stood up he realized that he had fallen asleep on his watch, but as he saw no one was dead and that Reeper seemed to still be awake, he thought it was better not to mention it. He gestured toward the window and the rising sun while he dug around in his pockets, saying, "Gettin an early start?" He kept his voice low. He fished a pack of smokes out of his jacket and hit lighter; chuckling as he remembered how the men in his unit would lecture him about cigarettes for breakfast. He lit up anyways, taking a few puffs before letting the thing hang idly from his lips.

Reaper having returned from the Bathroom, started looking through his bag making a list in his head of his supplies:
Six cans of food, Two Canteens of water left, half a bottle of whiskey, His smokes, and his trusty zippo, some minor first aid supplies, his samples, The bag of explosives he had taken from the body he put to rest, a box of 50 rounds for his revolver, and a small portable lab set, Keeping away from THAT bag...

after making sure he had everything, he would need water soon, Reaper resealed his bag and that lashed his scythe to it. He figured he would make better time if he wasn't carrying it as well it would leave his hands free, and if they where to get in trouble his revolver would be more than enough to protect him. after standing back up and putting his bag on Reaper pulled out his gun and checked it over making sure it was still in good condition and that it had all five rounds in it, he also check his belt on it it carried and extra 15 rounds, as well as a pouch which held empty vials, some scalpels and other utensils for his samples, and his knife.

Reaper being ready to move now looked at the others to see what their plans were.

smiles hopped off the counter and stretched out looking at marine. "I guess what we have to do today is find a car that works and get some gas for it." he shrugged his bags onto his shoulder. "not sure were we are heading but there has to be somewhere that we will be safe, some sort of compound" even as he said them he knew that even he didnt believe them. moving was the only way that things seemed to stay sane. smiles just looked at the floor and put her gun in its holster, gathering her own bags. she nodded towards the door.

Reaper Laughed at the marines words, Reaper knew of places like what the marine had spoken of in truth the government had 12 such places but they would never make it to one. And if they did they would be shot on sight. so he would keep his mouth shut about it, he would pick wondering out he with these monsters than be with an a mile of THEM...

John nodded, a car was a good plan. It was definitely safer than moving on foot anyways. "We'll have to stop to siphon from every car we come across if we want to make it out of the city... let alone to any compound. There's no guaranty we'll find one close to a populated area so we should also gather all the food and water we can..." He stopped and looked at the others. Why was he suddenly planing for their survival? He hadn't had this much hope of living before. Not for him, or for anyone really... what was it about this group? Was it simply the fact that he was around living, breathing, normal people again? He took a puff of smoke and pulled the strap of his bag over his head and adjusted the strap against his chest. "It's going to be along day isn't it?"

Reaper laughed to himself and said "a long day indeed" and than re-holstered his pistol he did not button the strap keeping it at the ready. He walked past the medic and out the door and let his eyes adjust to the scene around him. "I believe i saw i viable vehicle on my way here." and started retracing his steps and humming his tone again.

smiles pulled her gun out and headed outside, looking in all directions, she saw a stray zombie on the corner a few stores down and motioned for everyone to be quiet. marine quietly ran up behind the zombie and with a quick motion twisted its head with a sickening crack. smiles winced but as gland when she saw the zombie fall to the floor at marines feet, no longer moving. she nodded at him and they proceeded down the line of stores, checking abandoned cars a few had keys in them but didnt start. marine swore softly as he turned the key in the fourth vehicle he found, nothing. "did the government send some sort of EMP pulse or some shit to turn all the cars off?"

"More than likely all the battery's have gone dead from disuse..." Medic said as he looked down the road. It was strewn with empty cars - and he would bet that none of them worked, no matter what Reeper said. "We could try and find some bicycles... it wouldn't be as safe of a car, but its something."

Reaper looks down the street and smiles. he turns to the others and say "well how about we check that out." and pointed to an auto zone at the other end of the street. "im sure well find supplies there." and smiled.

"bikes might be good if we can find them, they dont need gas and they are more maneuverable" said marine jogging toward the autozone, "but lets see what we can find in there just in case" smiles could tell he was trying to keep the peace between reaper and medic, tensions seemed to be getting high for no reason at all. she jogged a bit to keep up with him but his stamina was of course much better than hers. by the time she caught up with him she was winded. he chuckled at her and slowed his pace.

He kept up with the pair easily enough. When they reached the building he tested the door - surprised to find it unlocked. "Why do you think all the buildings in this place are still open... you think people would have tried to lock the freaks out."
It was dark inside - darker than he would have liked, what with the building having only the store front windows, and little light coming from the smog covered sky.

Reaper followed the others to the store front. But when he got there he saw something that intrigued him around the corner so after the others entered the store he quietly walked down the street until he found the store front that had caught his attention, a wide sickening smile stretched across his lips, he entered the store humming manically.

smiles noticed the man walking away from the group and tried to get marines attention but couldnt, she took her safety of her gun and followed him

marine walked down the isles behind the counter looking for a battery for a car he saw parked just outside, he hadnt bothered to look under the hood yet but he thought he would start with the basics. he started tossing parts to medic "stay alert smiles, we dont know if there are any Z in the store... " he looked back to find her gone "smiles?"

Medic had been catching things and stacking them on the counter, but when he too noticed that the girl was gone he dropped what he'd been holding and he looked around wildly. "Check the rest of the store - I'll check outside." He drew his gun and ran outside, "Smiles?!" He didn't wan to yell, but he did raise his voice a bit. He didn't see Reeper either. "Knew we couldn't trust him..." He said as he ran around the corner of the building, sighing with relief as he saw them a few buildings away. He chased after them, running up to her. "What' are you doing?" He asked as he caught up with the girl.

When Reaper found what he was looking for he couldn't hold back his laughter, he went behind the counter and grabbed the keys to the Mate Black Bmw motorcycle on at the end of the display room hoping the battery hadn't gone bad, He mounted it and placed the key in the ignition and said a quick prayer, when he turned it there was a loud ROAR of the engine. He burnt the tires a little bit before riding it out and stopped next to the medic and girl on the sidewalk, "you did say bikes" he laughed, a wide smile on his face.

smiles' eye went wide then she grinned. she scanned the surrounding building, realizing he must have drawn attention from someone with all the engine noise, she wondered if marine had heard, sure enough he came running out of the car shop with his gun out "did you find her-" he started before seeing medic and smiles standing by reaper and the motorcycle "oh.. well then" he seemed a bit gruff but went and got the keys for two more cycles, one a bit smaller for smiles. he taught her controls and she quickly got on and started it up. "alright we need to be gettting moving, these things are exactly quiet.

John was the last to find a bike, but he easily caught up with the rest. "We still need to gather enough fuel to get us out of the city... and across the big nothing." He wasn't fond of this plan - it made to much noise and they couldn't carry supplies. But they would be able to avoid the freaks easier...

After a few Blocks Reaper pulled in to the remnants of a ransacked Truck stop and petrol station, The didn't have a lot of time before they had company, but they should be able to grab what supplies they need here, and since they didn't need to be quiet they could probably move faster. He estimated there gas tanks could probably hold a total of around 10-14 gallons with about an average of 20- 23 mpg would give them about 400miles a tank. and if they could find them they could probably carry another 10 gallons in two 5 gallon jugs lashed to the back.

Getting off his bike Reaper quickly took his bag off and stored what he can in the saddle bags. He hoped there would still be gas in the storage tanks, if there was he knew he could get to it, all petrol stations have a Manuel pump. He returned his empty bag to his back and prepared himself his scythe in one hand and his revolver in the other and waited for the others.

smiles was growing uneasy, the noise of the four motocycles was sure to be drawing them out of sleep early. they probably would figure anything making this much of a ruckus must be worth it. she was still a little wobbly on her bike but was getting the hang of it. we are gonna get fucking stuck in the middle of nowhere when these things run out of gas in between cities she looked over at marine who seemed to be grumpy as ever, not speaking. she could tell he was forming a plan to get away from the others and go about like they had before but she couldnt see how they could possibly leave medic with that strange guy. she still wasnt entirely sure if he was going to kill them at some point.

marine got off his bike and checked the pumps "we are gonna be lucky if they arent all dried up"

Medic Took out his revolver and headed inside, "I'm goin to see about food." He told the others. There wasn't much left after looters and other scavengers. Mostly there were chips and a few canned goods, he also found a case of bottled water in the back that had somehow gone unoticed. He didn't take anything yet - he would need the others help to gather everything. As he looked through the other cases in the back he heard a rustling behind him. He stayed still - waiting for a word, or something to let him know it was one of the others. When nothing came he turned, gun at the ready. The freak was just in the doorway, stumbling at him. He fired once- instinct having him aim for the heart. When it kept coming he fired once more - strait through the head. He yelled as it toppled forward onto him. Blood from the head wound pouring out over his shit. He scrambled backwards, calling for the others as he tried to get out from under it - not trusting that it was dead.

Reaper was the first to get there. "Make a new friend?"He joked as he helped pull the body off of the medic. He had set his scythe against the shelf but kept his revolver ready in-case there was more. "you ok there?" he smiled as he help the medic up. "you should wash that off" he pointed at he blood, "just to be safe" he smiled.

Marine was outside when he heard the ruckus. he rolled his eyes then looked to smiles. she took the safety of her gun and headed inside. when she saw the Z on the floor she just sighed, then shot it once in the head, moving over to medic. she jerked him by his collar, checking him out to see if he had been bitten. then looked at reaper, she didnt really care whether he had been bitten or not. walking back outside she nodded to marine, who tossed her a jug of water to strap to her cycle.

Medic tried smiling at Smiles - to try and keep he from being annoyed. He told Reeper about the food and water and headed outside. He through his over coat over his bike, and pulled his shirt off over his head. Blood had soaked through his shirt and was covering his chest and abs. "Tell me there's a hose around here somewhere..." He said as he threw the bloodied garment away.

"Yes, there is behind the building." Keen's deep and a bit raspier then usual voice said from behind Medic. The other looked a bit roughed up, but seemed find despite the blood splatter across his clothing and face.

Keen adjusted his bag, which seemed a bit fuller then before they got separated,"see you were able to survive the night, did the others?" He wondered, not yet aware of the added member to the traveling group. Leaning against the bike for support,"You might want to ditch these by the way, its how I found you here, and if I can hear you, you can imagine who else did." He stretched, popping his back, back into place and looking around his current surroundings.

"Think you could get an old RV running than?" Reaper said to the new member, seemingly un-fazed by his randomly showing up. He smiled at the half-breed this had not been the first he had seen and he noticed the signs rather fast. He laughed a little to him self. After all he wasn't completely human anymore anyways. When he had been in the military he had met a few other half breeds. He continued his humming and collecting the food.
