Apocolypse RP Here

Marine got up and gingerly stood on his leg, the pain wasnt a bad as he was expecting so he let smiles help him walk a bit, leaning on her. "whats the plan medic, we dont have much time"

Reaper laughed a little when he saw the medic point a gun at him. "It was the name I was given" he laughed,Pointing at his gun he said "Do you plan to shoot me if I don't?" he smiled.

Ignoring the Medic he addressed the young girl and injured man, "and what may i call you?"

Marine cleared his throat, "i'm markus, this is smiles, no one knows her name, and there is no need for more violence." he started walking for the door, bringing smiles with him. they ignored the scene between the two men and started out to find shelter for the night.

John merely rolled his eyes at the whole situation and followed the other two out. To him it was clear that Reeper was the kind of person to look out for only himself, so at the moment he didn't matter. They had to get out of there fast - he could already hear the disembodied moans of the dead as they followed the stench to the store. He he slung Marines free arm over his shoulder and quickened their pace. "Right now - just keep an eye out for anywhere that looks like it can be barracaded... we won't make it to the suburbs before nightfall at this pace." He glanced back over his shoulder, wondering where Keen was. He didn't like the idea of having to leave him behind, no matter how unpleasent he seemed. ' at least he can handle himself...' he thought.

Reaper rested his scythe on his shoulder and started to hum to himself as he followed the others out staying a few paces behind them, keeping an eye out for any enemies and to protect them from the rear. Smiling and humming to himself sure that their was fun to be had if he stayed with this group.

Marine noticed a post office to the right "if we can clean out any zombies that might be in that place, it will be safe for the night" he said to medic as he let go of smiles. they walked over to the door and he drew his gun motioning for smiles to do the same. as she did she went in first, checking around all the corners and going behind the counter into the back "its clear"

John was a little shocked to hear the girls voice. Somehow it changed his way of seeing her... but he shook the thought away. Right now it was only time to be thinking about survival. He helped Marine inside, then looked for a way for barricade the door. He saw that Reeper had followed them, and hoped that maybe the man had decided to help after all. "Come on!" He urged him to go a bit more quickly.

Reaper followed the group into the building walking past the medic and checking to make sure the back entrance is secured, all the while humming loudly to him self. when he was done he moved in to the main room with the others and stood close to the door to ensure he would get the first kill if they broke through.

"what is that damn humming about?!" said marine a little louder than he meant to, his cool attitude cracking a little. Smiles laid her hand on his shoulder as if to urge him to calm down. they had no idea what the mans intentions were, nor how strong he was. she kept her gun ready at all times and looked to the medic to see if he was ready to lock up for the night. she carefully took some of the ration packets from her back and started setting them out for dinner.

He waited at the door; watching to see if Keen would follow. He waited till the first of the freaks began to stumble into view - and still there was nothing. He sighed and looked back at Smiles, "Help me find some mail crates to stack here." He headed to the back and motioned her to follow. When they were out of earshot of the others he whispered to her, "I need you to do me a favor. Try and get the Marine to eat something, and just keep an eye on him. I don't know if he's still in shock or not from what happened, and I know he probably doesn't trust me." He didn't expect an answer, so he didn't wait for one. Instead he went strait to work loading a crate with the heaviest packages he could find. He briefly wondered how many of them were birthday gifts that would never be seen.

Reaper ignored the injured mans questions and smiled to himself, and just stood in his corner near the door and watched the girl and the medic leave the room and than watched the door for any signs they were trying to get in. Between his humming and the moans of the freaks there seemed to be a tragic but beautiful symphony playing through out the room.

Smiles sat on the counter eating her dinner and looked towards marine asking him something without speaking that only he could understand. He nodded at her and took a bite of his food. "so what is your story... uh reaper" the salt from the dehydrated meat stung his tongue a little but it was delicious none the less

"I'd like to hear the answer to that one myself." John said as he finished rolling the heavy crates in front of the door. When he was done he sat with his back to them, it somehow made him feel a bit safer. "I bet you didn't just pick that thing up at any garden store either."

Reaper smiled at the young girl, "My story?" he laughed to himself, "my story doesn't exist, THEY made sure of that. " Reaper's mind flashed to hidden labs and white coats, to secrets the governments would destroy cities to keep that way. Things he had been forced to or that where done to him, to missions in far off lands, to pain and suffering that would drive any man mad. and it did. the governments had taken great measures to end his existence, and for all that mattered they did, he had to remind himself that he was still alive. He started humming to himself again.

After a minute he looked back up from his scythe and to the medic and smiled, " Now you are right about that" he laughed to himself, "No this is very special, it was made custom for me." and with a chuckle to himself he returned to his humming.

"bullshit" said smiles without looking at anyone, she just stared at her food and she devoured it maybe a little faster than she should have. "someone is feeling quite talkative today" muttered marine, not so much annoyed as surprised. she just shrugged, as if to tell them not to get used to it.
marine settled into his chair next to her, looking around at the scant group that had just hours earlier been much bigger.

Reaper laughed at her response and set his scythe against the wall and the large bag off his back, he looked up and said while laughing "if you wish to know someones story shouldn't you offer your own first?" and than continued looking through his bag being careful with the bag of explosives he had collected from the body he had found earlier, and pulled out a small bottle of whiskey, his cigarettes and a can of beans. He lite his cigarette and offered if anyone wanted one,took a large swig from the bottle and offered it up, than opened the beans with a knife he had and than used the knife to eat.

John chuckled at the girls dislike of the story, "Doesn't really matter where any of us came from now..." He polity waved away Reepers offered smoke with a halfhearted smile and pulled the cigarette from behind his ear and lit up. He took a few small puffs on it, enjoying it rather than sucking it down as he had earlier when he was nervous. He took a bite of his dinner and started coughing a second later. "Damn..." He said when he could finally breath again. He set his dinner aside and mumbled, "Never could eat much when the war was on either." He sighed and started blowing smoke rings.

"dont even, you are just a medic, its not like you are a soldier" said marine irritated. he wasnt sure where it had come from but he found himself really annoyed at him for some reason. smiles raised her eyebrows wondering what medic would say to that. she had gotten used to how abrasive marine tended to be but these people had just met him and she was scared that someone would snap and shoot him.

Reaper started laughing hard at the marines words, "let me guess you were infantry? What was your rank? hmm let me guess a field officer?" his laughing grow loud and harsh before he caught himself and started humming again.

Ignoring Reepers laughter, John took one long calm drag and held it for a bit before letting it out slowly. Then he set the still lit smoke on the floor and began to slowly roll up his right pants leg, stopping at the knee. The skin that was visible from his ankle and up was bright red and puckered all over in long streaks and twists. There were discolored patches of whites and darker reds throughout, and is some places his skin seamed drawn tight over the muscle. He picked his cigarette back up, not bother to turn his pant leg back down - and took another drag. "The other one looks just like it. As well as my feet and my hips and a good part of my lower back too...." He exhaled a cloud of smoke and looked at the Marine expectantly.

marine just grunted, not wanting to admit that he was wrong about the medic. then he turned to the reaper "none of your damn business" for once smiles actually cracked a grin. always so secretive about his rank. it struck a nerve with him for some reason that she would never know. she laid down on the counter using her arm as a pillow, her gun was laying on the counter in front of her with the safety on and she looked at marine touched her nose then closed her eyes. marine chuckled a bit. "nose goes for first watch" then he touched his nose and sat back in his chair.

Reaper Stopped humming and was silent for a minute took a deep drag on his cig and than seemed to stare off into so dark deep beyond no one could see, and than said " First Lt. Sorin Allister, UN Special Operations, Biochemical Warfare division." he seemed to snap outta his trance and started to hum to himself again.

John had never heard the name before, and right now he wasn't really concerned with it. He rolled down his pant leg and stretched, "Good to know who I'll be waking up in three hours for second watch First Lt." He chuckled and sat on the counter top a few inches away from where Smiles was laying. He did his best not to wake her up, but that space gave his the best view of everything. He thought about lighting up another smoke, but looked down at the girl and thought better of it.

Smiles felt medic sit next to her and tensed a bit but relaxed. the humming was driving her crazy but she fought to ignore it, scooting a little closer to marine. he smiled down and her then leaned back in his chair to take a quick nap. "let the girl sleep tonight eh medic? she's been through enough today to earn not taking watch" he muttered not opening his eyes

Reaper laughed and sat against the wall with his scythe prepared resting on his shoulders and in his hands and than rested his head against the shaft but did not fall asleep just continued to hum softly to himself. He sat there quietly humming to himself watching over everyone for the rest of the night, he did not sleep, he never did. when he did he was always haunted by horrible memory's.

smiles drifted into an uncomfortable sleep and when she opened her eyes, the sunlight blinded her. marine was shaking her shoulder gently "come on kid, time to move on, maybe we can find another car." she just nodded and straightened herself out looking around the room, the reaper was still by the door and medic was on the counter next to her. she shrugged toward them. "we cant leave medic here with that nut" said marine knowing what she asked. she shoved medic off the counter to wake him up. "damn smiles, you're grumpy today" marine said getting up and stretching out his back. he set to work taking down the barrier.

"Good Morning" Reaper chuckled as he watched the Marine start taking the door down, he had sat there humming quietly to himself all night and hadn't gotten any sleep.He stood up and smiled at the marine and than went to look for the bathroom.
